Butlers Townhouse is a 20 bedroomed boutique townhouse which offers luxury and style, in an intimate and beautifully elegant setting.
Located in the heart of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 directly opposite the Aviva Stadium.
In 1995, the then owners set about the task of restoring a derelict building in the heart of Ballsbridge Dublin 4 to its former glory as an exclusive property. After almost two years of extensive renovations, the result was Butlers Town House, one of Dublin’s finest small luxury townhouses. The previous owners played a crucial part in the re-design and reconstruction of the building.
Affirming the atmosphere of a private home, the 20 uniquely designed bedrooms offer the guest a unique taste of Victorian life. The lavish Drawing Room, with its coved ceiling, delicate decor and oversized chairs create a ‘Private Club’ atmosphere. Every last detail was considered, designed and decorated to the highest standard; to conjure up a stunning, unforgettable, beautifully elegant property.
The current owners and management have taken special care to keeping with the old, and so honouring the history, whilst maintaining the renowned style and elegance. We aim to continually provide our guests with the best boutique townhouse experience.

Butlers Townhouse is in the ideal location to walk to the city centre and visit such attractions as Trinity College, Grafton Street and the many museums, theatres and restaurants.
Aviva Stadium, RDS, 3 Arena
Conveniently located on Lansdowne Road, opposite the Aviva Stadium and down the road from the RDS – Butlers Townhouse is the perfect starting point for those attending a conference or trade fair, or taking in the Horse Show, or visiting the 3 Arena to see a concert or show.
St. Stephen’s Green
This 22 acre park at the top of Grafton Street is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city’s streets. Take time out to explore the tree lined walks, shrubbery and colourful flowerbeds around the lake and visit the statue of Oscar Wilde, just one of the park’s many famous neighbours over the years.
Guinness Storehouse
The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped in the form of a pint of Guinness. The ground floor introduces the beer’s four ingredients (water, barley, hops and yeast), and the brewery’s founder, Arthur Guinness.
